Finally CabChap.com, the taxi booking system, has british cab data online. This is just the first step in enabling the brits to rate, book and pay black cabs, taxis, minicars etc. via web browser  (on www.cabchap.com) or the iPhone client.
Currently CabChap focuses on the biggest metropolitan areas: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield.
For now only calling the nearest cab companies is possible (give it a try at Find taxi cabs). It won’t take long and booking drivers and registering drivers will be conveniently possible.

Kein April-Scherz: Ab dem 1. April 2009 sinken die Terminierungsentgelte deutlich. Diese Entgelte stellen die Mobilfunkanbieter Anrufern in Rechnung, deren Gespräche in den Mobilfunknetzen von T-Mobile, Vodafone, E-Plus und O2 enden. Für Gespräche in die D-Netze sind dann ‘nur’ noch 6,6 Cent pro Minute und in die beiden E-Netze 7,1 Cent fällig.
Damit gibt es wieder deutlichen Spielraum für einen weiteren Preisverfall bei den Discountern. Vielleicht nutzen die Anbieter aber auch die Gelegenheit noch mehr Geld zu verdienen? In den letzten Wochen haben eigentlich alle Handytarif-Anbieter die Preisschraube nach oben gedreht: …
